It yields close to 100 punds per plant with the Guinness record of 342 pounds for one Better Boy plant. These plump, meaty, deep globe and deep red tomatoes have fruits that weigh ½-1 pound each. They are great for slicing, canning or making in to sauce or salsa. You need to plant them in the sun but keep the soil moist and well drained. The best time to water is in the morning before it gets too hot.

It is resistant to Alternaria stem canker, bacterial spot, fusarium wilt, grey leaf spot, nematode, root knot nematode and verticillium wilt.
