Pennisetum Glaucom, commonly referred to as Millet-Jester and Millet-Jade Princess. Jester grows thick, dense and bushy with leaves springing up in a bright chartreuse, maturing to red, bronze and finally a burgundy foliage. Jester can reach up to 42” tall and 36” wide at its maturity. Jester produces deep purple seedheads, approximately 9-12” tall, that make for breathtaking color. Millet grasses are beautiful as a backdrop for smaller bedding plants in a sunny garden spot. They prefer full sun and tolerate drought conditions. They prefer sandy to normal soil, well drained. Perfect in large areas!
