African Daisy

The Osteospermum is commonly referred to as an African Daisy. The bright ever-blooming flowers are about 2-3” wide, having a large floret surrounding a center disk. The Akila Osteospermum have an excellent tolerance for heart and drought. The Akila Osteospermum are desired most for their beautiful foliage, large, plentiful blooms extending above the foliage, tolerance for heat and its unusual color combinations. This is a great annual for Spring, Summer, and Fall. With the upright, compact habit of the Asti Osteospermum, this is a lovely choice for mixed containers and beds.

& Maintenance Tips

Akila Osteospermum prefers full sun to partial shade and a bit milder climates. It prefers average, moist but well-drained soil. Trimming back dead blossoms encourages new blooms. Please remember, containers aren’t as drought resistant, they may need a little extra TLC and consistent watering if in containers!
