Zucchini is a small summer squash that is shaped like a ridged cucumber. You need to plant your zucchini in full sun with dry, well drained soil. They have large fan shaped leaves that cover your plant. Zucchini can grow up to 3’ but are more tender and tasty when they are under 8”. Their yellow flowers can also be cooked and served alongside your zucchini dishes. Remember not to over-plant this annual and you should keep yourself and your friends in zucchini all summer.
